Colds and Flu / Influenza

Many false presumptions and between colds and flu, following I will explain what is the difference between colds and flu

1. Colds
Colds generally only attack at the throat to the top so that it can cause symptoms such as nasal congestion, cough, throat irritation, mild fever, nasal and ear like sneezing. This condition can strike throughout the year because it does not depend on the season there. Colds are caused by viruses and hundreds of types of the most common is rhinovirus. In the first three days, the patient is recommended not to move in the environment many people because it is very contagious.
Because it is caused by a virus, antibiotics are not an effective solution to cure it. Usually the doctor will give certain drugs in patients with colds to help reduce symptoms of nasal congestion, pain and other symptoms with antihistamines, decongestants, and so forth.

2. Flu
Flu or influenza is generally more serious and different from the common cold. Influenza can be said to be able to infect the lungs and cause pneumonia joints due to respiratory distress. Influenza usually characterized by high fever suddenly, the body feels pain and stiffness, especially if to run. Other main symptoms include irritation of the throat or lungs, a dry cough, sweating, trembling, and severe muscle pain. In general, influenza will strike during a particular season or during the change of seasons. Then, just like colds, influenza also caused by a virus and can be transmitted.
In many cases, consume plenty of fluids and rest is the right way to cure the flu. As for reducing the symptoms usually the doctor will give medicines such as ibuprofen and Acetaminopen. In addition, the doctor usually will also give Tamiflu to treat influenza and can shorten healing time and prevent complications such as pneumonia, shortness of breath, green sputum, high fever and severe sore throats.
For the prevention and anticipation should not be too close-close to the patient, do not use the shared use of tableware and personal items belonging to the patient. Keep always hygiene by washing hands with soap anti-germ and shut the mouth while sneezing. Then, the shape of a healthy lifestyle and exercising so that the body always fit and in top condition
